OACETT Grand Valley Bursary

The Grand Valley Chapter is proud to announce a new $250 bursary to a graduating student of Conestoga College. This award will be presented to a student who has taken the time to help others, maintain a high level of academic achievement and are graduating from a technology program.

This year the award was presented to Chris Scott from the Civil Engineering Program, the event took place on April 27, 2006.

Jason Wagg our College Liason presented the award and gave this brief speech.

"The OACETT Award is presented by the Grand Valley Chapter of the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists. OACETT maintains high standards for Engineering Technology in Ontario for its 20 000 members.

The OACETT award recognizes a student who excels in both academic achievement and demonstrates leadership in the community. Tonight’s recipient has achieved one of the highest academic averages in the Civil Engineering Program, and shown leadership by organizing this awards banquet. Colleagues describe this individual as a mature, responsible, and eager to learn more about the Civil Engineering field. On behalf of the Grand Valley Chapter of OACETT I’m pleased to present the OACETT award to Chris Scott."
